• Does the pastry taste
best when it's hot from the oven? |
|
The answer depends on the type of pastries. For products of
Butterworks, our pastries are best eaten one week after bake. Freshness
stays for at least a month with our air tight containers. |

• What exactly is Trans Fat
and how it affect me? |
|
Trans fats are a group of fats that cause an increase in dangerous LDL
cholesterol and raise the potential for heart disease. Trans Fat are
found in hydrogenated oils, eg Margarine. In the process of
hydrogenation, the healthier polyunsaturated fats are removed to extend
the life of fats in food product. Thus, beware of food that has long
expiry time. It could be the use of Margarine or preservatives. |

• Does Butter
contains Trans Fat? |
|
Yes, but it's almost
negligible when compare to Margarine. 1 tablespoon of butter contains
approximately 0.3g, while Margarine contains 3g of the same amount.
Thus, you may see food using butter labelled as 'Trans fat free' because
any food less than 0.5g of trans fat per serving may legally place zero
trans fat on label. |
